Description
The Americans call tartan ‘plaid’, possibly because they had trouble understanding the Scottish accent. To a Scotsman, ‘plaid’ is a woolly bedspread.
Tartan has been popular in Scotland for centuries, and was even banned in 1746. It was a manly thing to wear, and identified a warrior as coming from a particular region.
The question is, are you man enough to wear plaid?
